Serbia defeated Turkey in the final of the eFootball PES 2021 European Championship, which was held for the first time in Ukraine, in Kryvyi Rih. The Serbian cyberfootball player Djorje Milicevic won against his Turkish rival Mukakhit Sevimli in a tense fight (1:0, 2:1 and 5:4 - on penalties).

"The final of the championship was very difficult, because Myukahit is a very serious opponent. However, I managed to defeat him. Now I am relieved, I am just happy because I could have been punished for any mistake. In general, it is a great honor for me to participate in such an event. I really liked being in such a wonderful city as Kryvyi Rih," he said George Milicevic after the final.

"I convey to you congratulations from the president of UAF Andrii Pavelek and words of gratitude for the bright electronic football that you showed here for three days. I really enjoyed the finale I saw today. Cyberfootball has a great future," the UAF vice-president is confident Anatoliy Demyanenko.

"I would like to note that the tournament was held at a very high level, and the final was simply amazing with the tension of emotions, the skill of the football players and the quality of the game," emphasized the CEO of "Rudomine" Volodymyr Kolos.

"These were three magical days of e-football. They gave feelings that cannot be conveyed, they can only be felt. I hope that the world championship in cyber football will also take place in Ukraine, and precisely in Kryvyi Rih," said the general director of the company "Stroyinvest" Serhiy Havrylenko.

"I congratulate the friendly family of eSports and thank the organizers of the championship for this wonderful tournament. I am grateful to e-players for your respect for each other and for football," said the Secretary General of the International eSports Federation Boban Totovsky.

Third place went to Portugal, which defeated North Macedonia (4:2, 1:3, 2:1).

Representatives of 11 national teams from Azerbaijan, Croatia, Hungary, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey and Ukraine competed for the championship title.

Serbia — North Macedonia 1:0, 2:0

Turkey — Portugal 4:0, 6:3

Ukraine ended its participation in the tournament at the quarter-final stage, losing to Portugal.

It was held in parallel with the European Championship Kryvbas FIFA Cup — competition among amateurs, who won Daniil Shelaev, the son of the famous player Oleg Shelayev. The winner of the tournament received a prize — a Sony PlayStation 5 from FC Kryvbas. He also has the opportunity to become an official representative of the club at virtual football tournaments.
