Serhii Mazur: "Viktoria" is the most difficult option that could be for "Kryvbas" in this group of the draw

Serhiy Mazur, vice-president of Kryvyi Rih "Kryvbas" commented on the results of the draw of the third qualifying round of the Europa League. At this stage, "Kryvbas" will play against the bronze medalist of the Czech championship - "Victoria" Pilsen.

- Serhii Mykolayovych, what were your first emotions after the draw?

- Very positive. But, I confess, I was worried. FC "Kryvbas" was revived in 2020. And so, already in 2024 we will represent Ukraine in the European Cups. During these four seasons, we went together from the Second League to the UPL, and now to the debut in the European Cups. As for the draw, there are no weak teams at this stage of the Europa League. Every opponent can fight anyone. "Victoria" is a strong nut, a rather difficult opponent. I believe that this is the most difficult option that could be for "Kryvbas" in this group of the draw. It will be difficult, but we will fight. "Kryvbas" will have to show their character and all their skill to overcome this barrier.

- What can you say about Czech football?

- Legendary Czech players immediately come to mind. Pavel Nedved and Peter Cheh. Among the Czech clubs, I would mention "Sparta" and "Slavia". As for "Viktoria", it somewhat reminds me of "Kryvbas". The team is not a giant, but it has been showing high results in recent years. I am sure that an interesting and intriguing confrontation awaits us.

- Tell me, which opponent were you expecting before the draw?

- Honestly, I wanted the Portuguese "Braga" or the Moldovan "Sheriff" as rivals of "Kryvbasa". We have Victoria. Well, I repeat, it will be interesting. But, I am sure, "Kryvbas" will give battle to an experienced opponent.
