"Shakhtar" - "Kryvbas" 3:0
Kryvbas played a friendly match during the international break. The Red-and-Whites faced Shakhtar Donetsk in Vynnyky.
First Half
The match got off to an active start from both sides. As early as the 2nd minute, Rivas set up Kamenskyi for a near one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but a Shakhtar defender blocked the shot at the last moment. Ten minutes later, the Donetsk team responded with a dangerous opportunity: Elias fired from close range following a pass from the left but missed the target.
Shakhtar opened the scoring in the 15th minute. Following a counterattack, Alisson received the ball and curled a precise shot into the far top corner - 1:0. Kryvbas tried to equalize. In the 23rd minute, Rivas shot toward the far corner; the goalkeeper parried the ball, and Hodia appeared to be the first to the rebound, sending it into the net. However, the officials ruled it offside.
Shakhtar enjoyed more possession midway through the half. Alisson shot from the edge of the penalty area but missed the target. In the 33rd minute, a mid-range shot by Bar Lin took a deflection and went out for a corner. Mulyk had another chance, but his shot from inside the box failed to find the mark. A costly error occurred in the 42nd minute: Pidhurskyi played a back-pass to Khoma, but the ball slipped under the goalkeeper's foot and into the net - 2:0.
Second Half
After the break, Shakhtar continued to create chances. In the 47th minute, Kryskiv fired a dangerous shot toward the near corner, but Khoma came to his team's rescue. Four minutes later, Shevchenko missed the far corner from a promising position. Between the 58th and 62nd minutes, the Donetsk side launched a series of dangerous attacks. Tsukanov, Kryskiv, Maturro, and Karavaiev all took shots at the Kryvbas goal, but the Red-and-Whites held firm.
In the 72nd minute, Shevchenko had a chance to narrow the deficit with a shot from the edge of the penalty area, but the Shakhtar goalkeeper denied him. Three minutes later, Seсk fired a dangerous shot from the corner of the box - the goalkeeper was equal to the task once again. Obakh sealed the match result. In the 77th minute, he received a pass, went one-on-one with Danladi - who, like newcomers Kulbachuk and Tovarnytskyi, was making his debut for the Red-and-Whites' first team - and slotted the ball past the keeper to make it 3:0.
The Red-and-Whites will continue their preparations during the international break; their next official match is an away game against Obolon on October 10, as part of Matchday 8 of the UPL.
