"Kryvbas" launches a documentary series about women's football with the star of "95 Kvartal" in the main role.
On November 4, the "Football Girl" project from the "Kryvbas" football club will start. The main character of the series is an actress of the "Women's Quarter" and a participant of the "Laughter League" Ekaterina Nikitina. "Football player" is the story of a girl who, not jokingly, decided to play football.
This YouTube project is about football, but unlike many other projects, it is about women's football. Everything as it is, with all the subtleties: training and matches, contracts and photo shoots, loads and emotions, injuries and goals, intrigues and gossip, victories and, of course, defeats. This project is for the development of women's football in Ukraine.
"The main problem of women's football is the lack of attention to women's football. When you feel that someone needs you, that people watch matches, that they go to stadiums, that both the media and ordinary fans are interested in information, girls want to play more and it becomes easier for them to play. It is clear that media support is needed here!" - the vice president of the Kryvbas football club explains the motivation for creating the project Artem Gagarin.
Kateryna Nikitina, who was invited to the project, in addition to performing in the "Women's Quarter", was fond of tennis, rock climbing and boxing, and is also a teacher of stretching. And, as Artyom Gagarin points out, he has a small but interesting football experience: "Have any of you played in the same team as Markevich, Vashchuk, Seleznev, Shovkovsky, Srna? And she was already playing! Did any of you give Shovkovsky a penalty? And she was already beaten!"
To participate in the project, Kateryna underwent a medical examination, signed a real contract and entered the application of ZFK "Kryvbas" for the 2022|23 season of the Higher League of the Championship of Ukraine among women's teams. But whether she will be able to make her debut on the field... we will watch together.
Kateryna herself understands the risks and challenges she has to overcome: "I'm not a football player yet! I don't know how much effort it takes for me to get into the application for the game, and then to get on the field. But I promise I'll make it!"
The project "Footballer" began to be filmed in September and is currently ongoing. The following worked on the project: A. Gagarin - director, D. Kharlamov - screenwriter, D. Kulesha - cameraman, B. Borovets - editor, I. Pleshechnikov - sound producer. The authors plan 8 episodes until the end of the first round of the championship. But whether there will be a second season is up to you :)
The format of our YouTube series is similar to the project of the "Trendets" channel - "Footballist". Dmytro Povorozniuk, the author of this idea, supports the creation of a project about women's football: "This is a very cool idea! Good luck with your project! You and I understand very well that the media creates emotions, brings people to the stadium, that children take an example. Previously, people often did not understand what the media, journalists and bloggers were for, why try different interesting projects. Now many people will say: Well, this football of yours, these women, these serials! But it must be done! It will be interesting to see! And you can definitely take an example from "Kryvbas"! On working with fans and the media, and how you are creative. We really lacked this in Ukrainian football!"

- How did the idea for the series come about?
- Why exactly Katya Nikitina?
- How did Evgeny Seleznyov become the initiator of this project?
- Was everyone happy with the new player of ZFK "Kryvbas"?
- Do Dmytro Povorozniuk have copyright claims or do Oleksandr Povorozniuk just have claims?
You will find the answer to all these questions in the first episode of the YouTube project "Football Player". Enjoy!
