Stanislav Upilkov: I hope this match will be a lesson for us for the future

Comments after the match of the 12th round of the UPL Youth League "Kryvbas" U-19 - "Dnipro-1" U-19 - 0:2. 

Stanislav Upilkov, senior coach of FC Kryvbas U-19:

- The game was difficult, we were preparing for it. They wanted to oppose the opponent, they did not want to sit completely in defense, but to rise a little and play one-on-one, to cover Dnipro-1. But the boys didn't do much today. In principle, we had one or two moments per game and that was it. And so, my congratulations to Dnipro-1 on their victory, because they really deservedly beat us in almost all aspects of the game.

Practically nothing succeeded, except that. When our young goalkeeper made his debut, I would single him out (Ihor Omelchenko), because he helped the team in defense. What did not work out was pressing, restructuring in the center: they always left one player through whom they came out and played out the beginnings of their attacks. We also had some good chances we created at the end of the first half.

The team is very disappointed, because before that there was a result somewhere, but there was no quality. Even when we played against Shakhtar at home, it was clear that the boys were energized, even though they were playing with ten players. But this particular game then, I really didn't like it. It is probably also my fault that I could not reach the team on the weekly cycle, I felt that this is how it will be. We will work, this happens, these are boys, these are young men, they have slumps and instability, and I think that this is normal, because you have to move, work further.

If we play the following matches like this, then we will already say that there is a crisis in the team. But I hope that the guys will get together and this will be a lesson for them and they will continue to work. Dmytro Pohorily was injured in training three days before the match, he has a torn meniscus and will undergo surgery. And the recovery period is about one and a half months, so we wish him a speedy recovery, because he is also one of the leaders on the field.

Kyrylo Kramarenko, defender of FC «Kryvbas" U-19:

- The mood is not very good, because there was a good streak of seven matches without defeat. Regarding goals, I think there are matches when it's just not our day. The opponent is of a very good level, it is difficult to play with him. And that was the case in that season, and in this one. In the next round, we will play with "Polyssy" in Zhytomyr, there is also a very good team, strong. We will prepare fruitfully. Especially after this defeat, and hope that we are rehabilitated.

Ihor Omelchenko, goalkeeper of FC "Kryvbas" U-19:

- Today I managed to make my debut. I think that it is not the best way, because the team lost with a score of 0:2. There were some good moments. I want to say a big thank you to the entire coaching staff for entrusting me with a place in the main team and a big thank you to the boys for the game. I believe that somewhere we may have lacked character and implementation. "Dnipro-1" is a very strong team, they were in fourth place in the table before the match.

The first goal, the last 15 minutes of the first half - the standard, we had problems with them at the beginning of the championship, we lost our concentration somewhere - the opponent got ahead of our player, hit and hit the far corner of the goal. The second goal is a serve. I was going to play on the way out, but somehow I was unlucky and the ball hit our player Ilya Vdovichenko in the hand. Penalty - 0:2.
