Volodymyr Baienko: "Kryvbas" is building its future around youth and quality foreign football players

The general director of the Kryvyi Rih FC "Kryvbas" Volodymyr Baienko answered journalists' questions before the match of the 30th round of the UPL against FC "Oleksandria".

- A question about Ivan Dibango. Where is he now? I would like to hear the club's position on this issue.

- First of all, it is very nice that our former football player, Yvan Dibango, was included in the composition of each of the UPL TV experts as part of the symbolic team of the season. Regarding the comment. I believe that every football player has legitimate grounds to demand something if you have a debt through the bodies that can contact the football club. And it is precisely through these bodies to receive the funds that you believe are owed to you.

If there are no lawsuits or there is no case under consideration, then this is the personal matter of the football player, which the club will deal with. We have already dealt with it, in principle. Ivan is now with the team. Yes, he is not in the application for this match, but he is close to the team, because he spent four years in Kryvyi Rih, for which he is truly very grateful and respected. For the fact that he came to our club as one of the first legionnaires. He gave a lot to FC Kryvbas, and together with him we won historic bronze awards.

Now our paths diverge, but Ivan wrote his name in the history of Kryvyi Rih, for which I say a very big thank you to him. Everything else: I think that we are civilized people, and we will figure everything out. Now the expert Dmytro (Khomchenovskyi) is sitting in the studio, and, probably, he has no questions for the Kryvyi Rih football club. Is that right, Dmytro? And you can confirm to everyone that with every football player who played or is playing for us, we have always settled accounts, and always said goodbye, so to speak, in a human way.

Yes, sometimes there are moments when emotions prevail over rational decisions, but still, I am sure that after all this we will shake hands, wish each of us to continue developing, to go our own way. But for the path we have traveled together, I thank Ivan very much. He can truly be considered a legend of the club.

- A question regarding the transfer of Gleiker Mendoza. How do you see this transfer from a financial point of view?

- It is very simple. Mendoza had a clause that the club activated, and, in principle, nothing depended on Kryvbas anymore, only the personal conditions of the football player. Therefore, for us, this is probably an underlining of our work, the fact that we saw him, brought him, revealed him, developed him. Together with Mendoza, we worked on making him better. And the result of his work is the transfer.

I think he is satisfied. It is also pleasant for the Kryvbas football club. Probably, every year, after every season, Kryvbas sells players. All experts say that every season Kryvbas will fight for survival, but for now we have plans to look for such bright players in order to raise the level of our team.

We are not stopping, and therefore we will continue to do this. We currently have one of the youngest teams in the UPL and we will adhere to the strategy that the president chose, to rely on the graduates of his Academy. Our youth must develop and form the backbone of the team. And we will always try to invite quality players from other countries in order to maintain a high level of performance in the UPL.
