Volodymyr Baienko: Oleksandr Petrakov is a coach who knows how to work with young footballers

Volodymyr Baienko, General Director of Kryvyi Rih’s Kryvbas, commented on the appointment of Oleksandr Petrakov as the team’s head coach.

- Why did the management choose Oleksandr Petrakov?

- Oleksandr Vasylovych is a well-known, experienced, and highly decorated Ukrainian coach. In our current situation, it was crucial to bring in a respected specialist with extensive experience working with young footballers.

His greatest achievements came while leading youth and junior national teams, which was a decisive factor for us. We have the youngest squad in the UPL, so we expect his expertise and experience to serve as a reliable guide for the lads in achieving results.

- What are the immediate objectives for the new head coach?

- At this stage, the main goal is to climb the league table - to move up from the bottom spot as quickly as possible and progress step by step. That is our number one priority right now. We hope that Oleksandr Vasylovych will quickly establish a strong rapport with the squad and provide the club with fresh momentum to improve our current standing.

For its part, the management is ready to provide comprehensive, daily support to help the head coach adapt as quickly as possible, and to ensure the players can seamlessly embrace his vision and requirements.
