Volodymyr Ponomarenko: It is very nice to see that "Kryvbas" has been revived and is performing at a high level today

Veteran of Kryvyi Rih "Kryvbas" Volodymyr Ponomarenko, former defender of the team 1998-2002, 2003-2005 (102 matches, 11 goals) - about emotions after a memorable match, dedicated to the 6th anniversary of the revival of the club, in which the veterans played against the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

- Volodymyr Mykolayovych, how do you feel, returning to the club where you spent your best football years?

- Thank you. Gennady Mykolayovych Prykhodko called and invited me to this game. I have not played at this stadium as a football player yet, so I gladly accepted the offer and came. I will say frankly: I really missed Kryvyi Rih, Kryvyi Rih football, and the fans who came to the stands. Moreover, playing with a team of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a wonderful and very important event.

- Kryvbas celebrates the 6th anniversary of the club's revival. What would you like to wish the red and white team?

- I want to wish the team only development and growth. And to the fans - never turn away from the team: no matter what the result and under any circumstances. So that the stands are always full. The club is actively developing, the children's Academy is functioning, young football players are growing up - there are all the conditions for this. It is very pleasing to see that Kryvbas has been revived and today worthily represents the city at the highest level in Ukraine.

- You went out on the football field again. Did you manage to remember your best playing years today?

- At my age - not anymore (smiles). But the desire was huge! Of course, the years take their toll, but the emotions are incredible.

- What would you like to wish the Ukrainian defenders?

- To our defenders - to hold the defense firmly, defend our borders and mercilessly destroy the enemy who came to our land. To the boys and girls - good health, strength and the soonest Victory for our Ukraine!
