Volodymyr Vilivald, defender for Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih, talks about the away match in the 7th round of the Ukrainian Premier League against LNZ Cherkasy, which ended in a 0-0 draw.
- Volodymyr, what are your overall impressions of the match?
- The game was very difficult. Both teams played on opposite courses. LNZ has very fast and skilled players. I think we also had our good moments that we needed to capitalize on. In addition, in my opinion, we should have been awarded a goal - there was not enough contact to call a foul. LNZ is a physically strong team that plays vertical football. We carefully analyzed their game and prepared well for this match. Overall, I think we played a good game.
- What was missing today to win?
- As you may have noticed, we changed our game a little today. However, we lacked the finishing touch to score, and we definitely need to work on that.
- What emotions did you experience after scoring and after the goal was disallowed?
- I was very happy when I scored that goal. In the heat of the moment, I didn't even understand why the referee decided to check VAR. In my opinion, it was a "clean" goal. In top leagues, such fouls are not recorded.
