Volodymyr Vilivald: We worked well at the training camp, so we are looking forward to the start of the championship

Defender of Kryvyi Rih Kryvbas Volodymyr Vilivald gave an interview to journalists on the eve of the home match of the 1st round of the new UPL season against Lviv Karpaty.

- Volodymyr, how are you approaching the start of the new championship? What do you expect from the new season?

- The mood is great - both for me and for the whole team. There is a very good atmosphere in the team right now. In the offseason, high-quality players joined us, who are already gradually adapting and integrating into the team. We worked well at the training camp, so we are looking forward to the start of the championship. I believe that the team approached the season in good readiness. We will do everything to successfully start the home match with Karpaty.

- In addition to Mpanzu, several more players from abroad joined the team this summer. Which of them has already made the biggest impression on you?

- A very interesting striker, Satchwell, came to us from Jamaica. He is fast, mobile, and technically well-equipped. It is already clear that he is a player with good potential. He has organically joined the team and already feels at home among his partners. Give the newcomers some time, and we will still give battle to the strongest teams in the championship.

- What language do you communicate with each other and the legionnaires in?

- We mainly communicate in English. We have a translator who helps us communicate with the legionnaires, so there is no language barrier.

- Kryvbas left a lot of players in the offseason. Is there a player among them that you especially regret and whom the team misses now?

- Personally, I miss Maksym Zaderaka very much. He was an integral part of our team. All team moments were connected with him - jokes, communication, the atmosphere in the locker room. If someone had a question, everyone turned to him. Maksym could always help and support. He was like a father to us.

- Do you still expect to be called up to the youth national team of Ukraine?

- I was called up to the youth national team of Ukraine twice, but I didn’t get much playing time. It was a very good experience for me. I understand that due to my age this may be my last chance to play for the youth team, so I really hope to get a call-up. I will be glad if I am invited.

- What personal goals do you set for yourself for the season?

- I want to have a good season and score a couple of goals. I haven't been outstanding for a long time, so I want to fix this situation. I want to show myself well, to interest people with my game and be in demand.
