Volodymyr Vilivald: We should have acted better in the debut to relieve the tension near our own goal

Defender of Kryvyi Rih Kryvbas Volodymyr Vilivald commented on the home match against SС Poltava - 2:2 on UPL TV.

- Volodymyr, it seems that today Kryvbas lost two points rather than gaining one. How prepared was the team for such intense football from the opponent?

- We prepared well and understood that SС Poltava plays power football, actively imposes a fight in the third third of the field. We expected a lot of long passes. The goals conceded were somewhat unpredictable, we should have relieved the tension near our own goal better. But this is football.

The match turned out to be emotional and combative. It was just a little short of scoring the third goal. I think the score doesn't quite reflect the game, we should have put pressure on the opponent, but a series of air alarms and constant falls of Poltava players at the end of the match slowed down our pressure.

- Let's remember the beginning of the match: the opponent created several dangerous moments near your goal. How did Poltava start the game so actively?

- We needed to act more simply in defense and take the pressure off our goal faster. In some episodes we could have played more rationally, this is the beginning of the game, everyone is charged, with a great desire to score. Sometimes we were lucky, sometimes the goal frame helped. Nobody expected such a quick goal to be conceded.
