Jan Yurcets: We help newcomers to become part of the team as soon as possible

Defender of Kryvyi Rih Kryvbas Jan Jurcec summed up the results of the second summer training camp - in the Netherlands.

- Jan, the second summer training camp in the Netherlands has come to an end. How was it for the team?

- We are finishing the pre-season training camp in the Netherlands. These 12 days were very good for the whole club and for us, the players. We played two matches in Ukraine, and they were not so much about the result, but about the opportunity for the coaching staff and the players to assess the level we are at now - both technically and physically.

- What did the team work on the most during this stage of preparation?

- In the Netherlands, the tasks were somewhat different. The main emphasis of this stage of preparation is tactical work. I think we worked well on this. New players have joined the team, and every day we are getting stronger.

- Can we already say that the team is ready for the start of the season?

- Probably, not all the players have reached their maximum level of readiness yet, but it is a matter of time. After last season, the team left a lot of important players, so the restructuring of the squad cannot happen instantly.

- How is the adaptation of the newcomers going?

- I am sure that we are moving in the right direction. We also try to help the newcomers adapt as quickly as possible, feel at home here and become a full-fledged part of the team.

- Pre-season training is always a difficult period. How do you endure it?

- Yes, pre-season training is always difficult. For football players, it is a long and exhausting period, but I really like it. This is my life. I love training every day and cannot imagine myself without football.

- What is the mood of the team before the start of the new season?

- Now the preparation is coming to an end. The championship will start soon, and I am already looking forward to its start. I think all the players and the coaching staff also want to see what level we are at now.

- The first round of the UPL is coming up very soon. What do you expect from the start of the season?

- Yes, and this is the game against Karpaty. And then the real rock and roll begins.
