Jan Jurcec: I think we were better in both halves

Croatian defender of Kryvyi Rih Kryvbas Jan Jurcec shared his thoughts on the away match of the 19th round of the UPL against Kyiv's Obolon - 0:0.

- Jan, how can you summarize the match?

- We are very disappointed - both the team and the coaching staff. From the very beginning, the conditions were difficult, and the pitch was not of the best quality. But this should not be an excuse for us - of course, the conditions are the same for both teams. I think we were better in both halves, but, unfortunately, we did not realize our chances and played a draw.

- Did you expect such a game from the opponent?

- Yes, we knew that it would be difficult and that they would play most of the time the way they played before - in defense. We wanted to create chances through crosses and fast ball movement. But we did not score.

- Share what the coach said in the locker room after the first half and after the match?

- Before the game, we planned to follow the coach's instructions, and I think we succeeded. At halftime, Patrick said that we need to move the ball faster, get into positions for passes and put pressure on their defense.

After the match, he emphasized that we are all disappointed because we did not take three points today. But at the same time, he noted that the game showed many aspects that we can work on in training and correct mistakes. Hopefully, we will learn from this and become better for the next round.
