Yaroslav Shevchenko: The second half showed that we can play calmly and control the game

Yaroslav Shevchenko, a midfielder for Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih, commented on the UPL Matchday 7 away game against Polissya Zhytomyr, which ended in a 0:1 defeat.

- Yaroslav, what are your impressions of the match?

- There were two completely different halves. The first one was very difficult - both physically and in terms of positioning. We spent most of the time defending and waiting for opportunities to launch counter-attacks. It wasn't easy, and, to top it off, we conceded from a penalty...

Honestly, I didn't see whether it was actually a penalty or not; I’ll need to watch the replay. But the second half showed that we can play with composure and control the game. We created chances, and I really liked how the team played in the second half.

- What did the coach say in the dressing room after the game?

- He said it didn't matter to him which team was playing against us on the pitch. What mattered was the team playing for the Kryvbas badge. He noted that we could have picked up points - we could have snatched a draw or even gone home with all three... But things turned out the way they did. We keep working.
