Yaroslav Shevchenko, the midfielder of Kryvyi Rih "Kryvbas" answered the questions of journalists, and also talked about working with the team's new head coach Oleksandr Petrakov
- Oleksandr Petrakov recently headed the team. How well did you manage to prepare for the match with Zorya and adapt to the requirements of the new coach?
- We have a new coach who has only recently joined the team and is gradually making adjustments. But there was not much time to prepare for each game: they had only two days before the match with Bukovyna, and three before today's cup game with Zorya. We listen carefully to the coach and try to fulfill his requirements on the football field. At the same time, we also make certain adjustments of our own, because we are the ones playing on the field. The coach says that if we see an opportunity to secure a partner in a certain episode or replace him in a position, then we can do it.
- What has changed in the training process with the arrival of Oleksandr Vasyliovych?
- To be honest, now we are working more on tactics. The coach changes our game patterns, so it is important that all players act as one and interact well with each other. This is what we strive for.
- Did you prepare for a possible series of post-match penalties?
- I can't say that we specifically practiced the penalty shootout, but we had players who were asked to shoot from the penalty spot. However, this information is confidential.
- Penalties were scored only by legionnaires. Did they practice them in training?
- No, everyone fought during training, because we are one team.
- Who would you personally like to see in the opponents in the next round of the Cup of Ukraine?
- To be honest, I don't care who I play with. I do not choose opponents, so I would not like to single out anyone. I think it would not be entirely correct for other teams.
- Do you follow the draw of the Cup of Ukraine or do you learn about the next opponent from the news?
- I usually find out about my opponent already after the draw, from the news. That's how I found out about "Zorya" when they posted a post about us playing with her. In football, you need to adjust to each opponent and enter the field with a fighting spirit. Do you remember the last draw of the Cup, when "Kharkiv" played with "Chernihiv"? "Chernihiv" was a clear outsider, but went further.
