Yehor Tverdokhlib: I'm glad I'm benefiting the team, that's the most important thing

Midfielder of Kryvyi Rih Kryvbas Yehor Tverdokhlib shared his thoughts on the home match of the 16th round of the UPL against Kovalivka Kolos.

- Today you scored your seventh goal in the UPL this season. Sum up this half-year for yourself and the team.

- You can highlight this positive moment, because before the start of the championship I did not expect that I would be able to maintain such performance. The team composition has been updated, the Club has undergone a complete restructuring. I am glad that I am benefiting the team, this is the most important thing.

- Comment on the combative nature of the match, because we observed many clashes on the field. Did we expect such a game?

- We expected such a game, because Kolos is an aggressive and unyielding team, which constantly demonstrates this in matches. We were tuning in for such a match, so as not to lose the fight and realize our chances. I think today was an interesting game of football. We were a little short of putting pressure on our opponents and getting three points. But overall, this match can be described as positive.

- In your opinion, what was lacking to develop the advantage after the goal?

- Maybe we got a little complacent or the opponent started to act more aggressively and put more pressure on us. We needed to take control of the ball, but we allowed them to impose their game. However, after the goal we conceded, we played better, created good chances: Paraco could have scored, but we lacked luck and skill. In general, we controlled the game until the end of the match, we just couldn't find and realize at least one more chance.

- Your former teammate, Andrii Ponedelnik, plays for Kolos. How important was the duel in this regard? Did you talk to him before the game?

- Yes, we talked before the match. Off the field we can be friends, but on the football field there are no friends, because everyone wants to win the duel and not give up in any episode. That was the case today.
