Yurii Vernydub: I really hope that the newcomers will strengthen "Kryvbas"
Head coach of Kryvyi Rih "Kryvbas" Yuriy Vernydub answered the questions of the press service in the framework of the EXCLUSIVE column from the official sponsor of the FAVBET Club.
- To Yuri Mykolayovych, how do you generally evaluate the Spanish team "Kryvbas"?
- They had a good collection. Seven control matches were played here in a month. Cool conditions for training and recovery. Everything went well.
- Which sparring of "Kryvbas" at the meeting was the most difficult and most informative?
- This is a game against "Viktoria" Pilsen, in which we lost - 0:3. The opponent is strong, coming in third place in the Czech championship. They also passed the group stage of the Conference League. Not a bad game. We conceded, but really by the game. Because they were a bit faster and stronger in many components. They made conclusions for themselves, where it is necessary to improve, and the second Spanish collection has already passed without any setbacks.
- How would you rate the game of the team's newcomers - Tverdohliba and Mykytyshyn?
- It is too early to judge. They work very well, have adapted to the team. I really count on these football players. I hope they will play for us as soon as possible and become the main players of the team.
- Our third and so far last winter rookie is Nathaniel Santini. How can you comment on his signing?
- He only recently arrived, they gave him the opportunity to play only 30-40 minutes. Performs in the position of central defender. We also count on him a lot. I want him to join our team as soon as possible. Santini defended the colors of good clubs, the last of which was "Sion". We had a bit of a sag in the center of the defense, so this is a reinforcement. Nathanael still needs time to gain his best condition.
- This collection for "Kryvbas" was not only educational and training, but also a collection of funds for defenders of Ukraine. Are you satisfied with this collection?
- Very much. This indicates that FC "Kryvbas", even while abroad, provides assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And it's very cool. We collected a good amount to buy a car and hand it over to our defenders.
- "Kryvbas" conducted a good transfer campaign. But, as they say, there is no limit to perfection. What link would you like to strengthen?
- Everyone. You just confirmed that there is no limit to perfection. This is necessary so that the boys understand that it is necessary to constantly work even better. And we will continue to look for newcomers who are even more hungry for football and will be able to play even better.
- How did Spain accept "Kryvbas"? Will the team return here next year?
- Very cool collection. I liked it here much more than last year in Turkey. What is very important for good preparation is excellent weather conditions. For the whole month, it rained only once, for example. Fields, recovery of players, hotel - everything is at a high level. But the most important thing is that I did not see a single Russian here. I want to come here again.
