The head coach of Kryvyi Rih "Kryvbas" Yuriy Vernydub commented on the victory in the home match of the 15th round of the UPL over Zhytomyr "Polyssy" - 3:1 at the press conference.

- Very positive emotions. The game gave us everything. But the match is very difficult, against a powerful opponent, to whom we lost in the Cup of Ukraine in Zhytomyr. Today we won at home. I think it's up to the game. But the beginning was very unhappy for us. I will note three hundred percent moments near our goal. But I want to thank Volodymyr Makhankov, who pulled these punches. But then everything fell into place. We started to make good attacks. They scored a good goal, and could have scored more in the first half.

Both teams looked good after the break. The game was quite intense and interesting. But we were much better, that's why we scored two more goals and won. I congratulate FC Kryvbas, our boys, fans and the city of Kryvyi Rih on this success.

- You started to change the captain of the team, and, apparently, things got better...

 - I already said, Ivan Dibango missed quite a lot of time due to a difficult injury. But now he is showing his level again and I decided to support him - to give him the captain's armband. There is a second win, so all is well in that regard.

- Today was an emotional match in every sense. "Kryvbas" completely outplayed the opponent. At the expense of what? And how do you comment on Tverdokhlib's hat-trick?

- I can't say that we completely beat Polissya. The game was interesting, there were enough moments. The opponent has a great team: four teams – U-21, two – national team, Nazarenko and Hutsulyak. Very good legionnaires. That's why the team is powerful. We beat Polissya somewhere - that's right. But at the beginning, I repeat, we did not look the way we wanted. They lost the fight.

They didn't play very well until 8-10 minutes. But then they started playing the kind of football we want. All the boys gave their all today, that's why they won. Solid bread? I congratulate Yehor on his hat trick. A very good game in his performance. It can be said that he has definitely joined the team. He looks good. You can say that it is in its best form. I wish him only progress, training, and he will succeed, that's one hundred percent.

- This season you already said that after winning bronze it will be difficult to defend it... Do you still think so now?

- Why work, train, if you don't have a goal? There is always a goal. I would really like to take at least third place again. That championship was not easy, and this one is even more difficult. See how many contenders there are for the top spots. But we are ready for this fight. In addition to the first three, there are also "Karpaty", "Polyssia", "Veres" looking powerful from game to game. It will be very difficult, but you have to go to your goal.

Then it will be even more interesting, there are 15 rounds ahead. Let's see, maybe we will have some good transfers. Maybe there will be losses, but that's normal, it's football. Players are developing and they also want to play in European clubs and earn much more.
