Women Kharkiv - Women Kryvbas 5:1

Kryvyi Rih’s WFC Kryvbas faced WFC Kharkiv in Matchday 9 of the Prime League.

The nominal home team had a golden opportunity to open the scoring just three minutes into the match. A penalty was awarded against Kryvbas for a handball in the box, but Zaborovets failed to beat Soloviova, who parried the spot-kick.

In the 14th minute, the Kharkiv side was awarded another penalty - once again for a handball by a Kryvbas player inside the area. This time, Radionova stepped up to take it, but Soloviova once again displayed excellent reflexes to save her team from conceding.

Despite Soloviova’s confident performance, the opposition managed to open the scoring in the 34th minute. Radionova found the net from open play, putting Kharkiv ahead 1:0. Just before halftime, Hiryn doubled Kharkiv’s lead. In the second half, Kharkiv continued to control the game and scored a third goal in the 50th minute, courtesy of former "Red-and-Whites" player Ivanchenko - making it 3:0.

In the 84th minute, Aleksanian scored Kharkiv’s fourth goal, followed shortly by a fifth from Krevska, further compounding the difficulties for the "Red-and-Whites." Nevertheless, Kryvbas did not give up the fight. In the 89th minute, Neposhyvailenko managed to narrow the deficit by scoring our team's only goal of the match with a spectacular long-range shot that looped over the goalkeeper - 5:1.

Our young team will play its next match at home on September 20 against WFC Kolos in Matchday 10.
