Women Kryvbas - Women Polissya: October 26 at 15:00
Tomorrow, the Kryvbas women’s team will play a home match as part of the 13th round of the Ukrainian Women’s Football Championship. The "Red-and-Whites" will face off against players from Zhytomyr’s Polissya.
The two sides have already met this season. In their Round 6 encounter, held on August 23 in Zhytomyr, Polissya secured a 6:1 victory. Zaporozhets scored a consolation goal for Kryvbas late in the match. Now, the "Red-and-Whites" will have the chance to take on the Zhytomyr side on home turf.
The teams head into this upcoming clash following contrasting results in their recent matches. In Round 12, our young squad suffered a 0:7 away defeat to Odesa’s Sisters. Prior to that, the "Red-and-Whites" lost 0:3 to Kolos and were narrowly defeated 0:1 by Shakhtar in Round 11. The Kryvyi Rih side’s last victory in the Prime League dates back to September 4, when they defeated Ladomyr 2:1.
In their most recent league match on October 18, Polissya secured a 1:0 home win against Kolos. Before that, the Zhytomyr team defeated Pantery 3:2 and routed Ladomyr 6:1. Their opponents are currently contending for a top spot in the league standings.
After 12 matches, Kryvbas has 5 points and sits in seventh place. Polissya has collected 24 points in 11 games and holds the fourth spot. For the "Red-and-Whites," the upcoming encounter offers a chance to snap a string of poor results, while the visitors will look to maintain their position among the league leaders.
