WFC Kryvbas is set to play another home match in the 2026/2027 Prime League season. In Matchday 11 of the Ukrainian Championship, the "Red-and-Whites" will host Donetsk's WFC Shakhtar at the Sparta Stadium.
Both teams head into this head-to-head clash following disappointing results in Matchday 10. On September 20, Kryvbas lost 0:3 at home to Kolos. This marked a second consecutive defeat for our young squad, following a 1:5 loss to Metalist 1925 in the previous round. Prior to that, the Kryvyi Rih side had drawn 1–1 with Pantery and defeated Ladomyr 2:1.
Shakhtar also suffered a setback in Matchday 10, losing 1–2 to Ladomyr at the Arsenal Arena. Before that, the Donetsk team had lost to Kolos (0:3) and Polissya (0:2); their last victory remains an away match against Pantery (2:1).
In the standings after ten rounds, Kryvbas sits in 7th place with 5 points from ten matches and a goal difference of 6:29. Shakhtar is positioned slightly higher, in 5th place, with 7 points from nine matches and a goal difference of 7:20. The teams' last official meeting took place on August 13 during Matchday 4 of the current Prime League season. In that match, Shakhtar defeated Kryvbas 2:0 at the Arsenal Arena. After a goalless first half, Holovach opened the scoring in the 56th minute, and Pipchenko sealed the final result in stoppage time.
Now, the teams are set to meet in Kryvyi Rih. At the Sparta stadium, the Red-and-Whites will have the opportunity to avenge their August defeat and add to their points tally in the Prime League.
