In the Round of 16, Kryvbas faced Zorya in Kyiv.

First Half

The match began as an evenly contested affair. In the 7th minute, the Luhansk side opened the scoring following a corner kick: Jordan rose above everyone else and headed the ball into the far corner of the net - 1:0. The "Red-and-Whites" sought an immediate response, launching several promising attacks, though they were initially unable to convert them into a goal.

Zorya also responded with dangerous forays, leading to an end-to-end game. In the 27th minute, Kryvbas leveled the score! After a rebound, the ball fell to Giovany, who fired a precise low shot from the edge of the penalty area into the far corner - 1:1. Following this, the teams continued to trade attacks. The closing stages of the first half remained highly competitive, but the scoreline did not change further.

Second Half

At the start of the second half, Zorya looked more active, pushing to regain the lead. Kryvbas responded with attempts from Seck and Bar Lin, but both shots went wide of the goal. Midway through the half, the Luhansk side created several dangerous opportunities. On two occasions, following shots by Budkivskyi from inside the penalty area, Kryvbas were saved by Kemkin, who put in a solid performance to deny the opposition a second goal. The second half saw the team from Kryvyi Rih gain a measure of control.

Following a powerful strike by Bar Lin, the ball whistled just over the crossbar. The hosts responded with a strong shot from Nesterenko, but the crossbar came to our team's rescue. Regulation time ended without a winner, so the spot in the quarter-finals was decided by a penalty shootout - where the Kryvyi Rih side proved more accurate!

The true hero of the shootout was Kemkin, who saved two penalties! Congratulations to everyone on the win!
