Polina Nazarenko: My biggest dream is to become a professional soccer player

Forward of Kryvyi Rih "Kryvbas" WU-15 and the national team of Ukraine WU-17 Polina Nazarenko - about victory in the poll for the best soccer player of the team in the first half of 2024/2025 and plans for the future.

- Polina, congratulations on the victory. IWhat emotions did you feel after learning that you became the best player of the first part of the season as part of the Kryvbas girls' team?

- I confess: I was very happy and felt proud of my work and results. This is a great motivation for me to continue to work even harder and achieve new goals.

- How would you rate the team's performance in the first round of the Girls' League?

- Overall, I think we had a pretty strong first round, we worked very hard to make it a success. There were a lot of good matches where the team showed a well-coordinated game. But there are always moments that need to be worked on, so we will soon start preparing for the second round.

- Which match of the first round can you call the best for Kryvbas WU-15?

- In my opinion, the best match was against OFKIP-Polyssia. Then we showed a high level, showed character and played until the last minutes. I managed to score a quick goal, so I consider this game to be the best.

- Tell our fans about yourself. At what age did you start playing football and why did you choose this particular sport?

- I started playing football when I was 9 years old. I liked football for its speed, feints and, probably, the ability to score goals, thereby helping the team to win. It affected me and now I only move forward.

- You have been playing for "Kryvbas" WU-15 for more than a year. Tell us, how did this time pass for you as part of the red-white team?

- This year was very busy and interesting. At first it was difficult to adapt. Still, a new team, a new city, but thanks to the support of the coach and the girls, I quickly became my own. We became a real family.

- What is your dream related to football?

- My biggest dream is to play at a high level, represent my country and become a professional soccer player.

- Questions from our subscribers. Which women's soccer team do you like the most?

- I really like the Barcelona women's team. They are showing incredible results.

- What are your favorite video games?

- I try not to play at all, because I spend my free time alone or watching movies.

- Coach's favorite phrase?

- There is a phrase that he says exactly when something is not working out for me. It's: "come together, we need to play like against Ladomir." And when we start laughing, and we have to listen to the coach, Denys Oleksandrovich Matsebura always says who makes you laugh, tell me (laughs).
